About the event

This video presentation by Fred Archibald VE1FA is entitled Radio aboard the RMS Titanic - How It Worked. Fred Archibald and his wife Helen Archibald, VA1YL, were recently recognized by Radio Amateurs of Canada for their years of amateur radio commitment. They were chosen to receive the RAC's Amateur of the Year Award for 2025. Married for more than 50 years, they have been almost equally married to their amateur radio involvement, which has included teaching, mentoring, net control, club leadership and equipment restoration.

Denby Dale Amateur Radio Club was founded 50 years ago. We run a daily net from 9.30am on 145.575 MHz. Our Sunday net is at 10.30am on repeater GB3HD, 433.225MHz. We compete in contests, arrange special events and can offer help with training for the amateur radio licence. Our shack is at Field Lane, Farnley Tyas, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD4 6BS.
