Christmas dinner turns out to be a cracker of an evening

A view of the Christmas dinner

Members and their guests gathered for a convivial Christmas dinner at the Yorkshire Rose on Leeds Road. And our photographer was on hand to capture the occasion.

The raffle prize was won by Raymond, G1MSD, but the prize for best festive pullover surely went to fashion icon Darran, G0BWB.

His dazzling little number had been knitted by his wife, Jean, G0LPV who also wore one of her own fine creations.

Our thanks go to David, M0RIU, for arranging the event and for his meticulous organisation on the night.

This included a spreadsheet of 75 menu items which he had produced to help those poor souls who had forgotten what they had ordered.

It was a lively evening, full of flowing conversation and fun – and some very bad jokes from the Christmas crackers.
