The ups and downs of tower safety for our club members



At some point in the New Year, maintenance work will be carried out on the club's tower, which is located close to our shack in Field Lane.


When that important task is completed, training sessions on its safe use will be held with nominated operators.


Ahead of that work, we are pleased to show this video, produced by club member Malcolm Williams, G0ISX, on the safety procedures for raising and lowering a tower.

Denby Dale Amateur Radio Club was founded 50 years ago. We run a daily net from 9.30am on 145.575 MHz. Our Sunday net is at 10.30am on repeater GB3HD, 433.225MHz. We compete in contests, arrange special events and can offer help with training for the amateur radio licence. Our shack is at Field Lane, Farnley Tyas, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD4 6BS.​
