Twenty three members and guests were present at the Golden Cock for our November meeting when Gerald G3SDY assisted by Malcolm G0ISX demonstrated a variety of test equipment.

They showed us equipment going back into the 1950s, some of it home brewed, which measured a whole range of voltages, currents and capacitance through to RF and VSWR.

On view were valve testers an OSKAR SWR Bridge and a KW-E-ZEE match ATU and we were brought us up to date with miniature SW radios, useful to measure local QRM, VNA analyzers and signal generators.

All the equipment was handed round the audience which evoked memories of days gone by. We also gazed into the future with low cost, high tech miniaturised instruments with an accuracy that could only be dreamed of a few years ago.

The speakers were thanked by our new Chairman Jerry, M5JB.
